fabs79
Hi guys, Being a GA and helo flyer for several years I wanted to try something different and bought the dash 8Q. Now before I start fiddling with all the systems I'd be thankful if some of you pointed me to some real world routes for this aircraft within the Orbx world, preferably touching payware airports. Cheers, Fabian
m0dpsych
Hi Fabian, If you have any of the Australian airports Bribane, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie you can't go wrong as QANTAS fly the Dash8 into all of them. Todd Harrell
**Horizon Air (Alaska Airlines): Seattle to Vancouver Seattle to Bozeman Seattle to Sonoma County (Sonoma just announced by Misha) Sonoma County to Los Angeles **Republic Airlines (United Express): Denver to Jackson Hole
fabs79
Thank you, I didn't know the q400 could fly into small airports like Hervey bay. Seattle to Bozeman sounds great, hopefully there will be a triple installer for kbzn soon.
Rob Newman
I wouldn't try landing the Q400 at Hervey Bay... not if you want to keep your landing gear attached One other route, though it is more of a historical route as it was discontinued a few years back, is Seattle (KSEA) to Redding (KRDD). If you have the full regions, the short hop from KSEA to KEAT (Wenatchee) is always fun... and the RNAV approach is fun too as it winds through a canyon
kasj
I often use "Airline Route Mapper" ( http://arm.64hosts.com/) to see were there are routes for a specific aircraft type. In options you can filter to only display routes flown by DH4 = Dash 8Q-400.
ridinroun
Flight Aware is another good site to find real routes by aircraft type. Plus you can see the progress of the actual flights.
Tim Harris
There are tons of Air-Niugini Dash routes covered within the Papua New Guinea Experience (AYPY) http://www.airniugini.com.pg/flight-information/flight-schedule/

That's a great RNP approach, especially in IMC! In fact that's the RNP approach I cut my teeth on in the Majestic Q400, thanks to you.
larryisenor
Also for a longer route Alaska Airlines KSEA-CYYC. Westjet also operates Q400's throughout the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies Regions. Larry

We quite often see the Q400 and Q300 fly into Hervey Bay. Followed one in during an Angel Flight recently. Jas
