I think Ive discovered that you can add apparent sunlight by changing the very bottom row of pixels in the sky texture

to an appropriate sunlight color. it seems to affect water, terrain, trees and buildings. A yellow sun

also helps.

Awesome Shots

FSX , P3D ?

And what weather application are you using if

I may ask.

Dreamer

Hi - Sure...its P3D24 and in those shots its just 'fair weather' with cumulus coverage at 7/8, alt from 8k to 14k (I think) and vis to 50mile. I like to use OPUS but theres something about weather programs that makes clouds darker/duller sometimes.(especially at altitude)

hi guys - thanks for the comments. much appreciated.

Dreamer - it has occurred to me that your question might relate to cloud coverage and I thought Id mention that the size of the clouds on the texture sheet play a role in cloud coverage. Little clouds will always provide less coverage than bigger clouds. With FEX, you can increase the 'intensity' of a cloud and that will increase cloud coverage in the sim.
