Scott Harmes
Thank you guys. Van,+ is a killer on frames. Have to cut back on sliders.. Anthin. Hi Anthin, I had a problem in the past week with "slide show" frame rates flying around Vancouver, but I found a pretty good solution, at least it seems to be. First I adjusted it via the configuration panel in the start menu, just losing some of the boat traffic and ai aircraft, and then I manually turned off some files in the scenery folder. The files I turned off in Microsoft Flight Simulator X/FSAddon/VanPlus v3/VanPlus_Higher_Priority/Scenery are: ani_birds.bgl ani_birds_library.bgl birds.BGL effects_Grouse_Mountain_FSX.BGL effects_obstruction_lights_bridges_FSX.BGL effects_obstruction_lights_buildings_FSX.BGL effects_Science_World_FSX.BGL effects_waterfalls_FSX.BGL FScars.BGL Just add .off to the end of these files to turn them off, rather than deleting. When I landed at Pitt Meadows before the changes I was down to about 5 fps, and after the changes, taking off from Pitt Meadows I was up to 30 fps. I still have to test some more, but I think losing a bit of eye and ear candy is well worth it to gain the required frames per second. Cheers,
