malibu43 Posted May 17, 2014 Share Posted May 17, 2014 Cross country flight from Nut Tree to Angwin In 2009 I was doing the Howell Mt Challenge mountain bike race, which runs right past the Angwin airport. As I was huffing my way down a dirt road right past the runway in the early, hot morning, this red and white C172 quietly floated past me going in the opposite direction and gently touched down. Right there in the middle of that mountain bike race I decided I was finally just bite the bullet and get my pilot's license. I took my check ride a year later almost to the day.
