VH-KDK
A flight down the Shannon Estuary in Ireland. Taking off from Shannon Airport and flying up to Limerick before doing a 180 and heading towards the Atlantic. 1. Taking off from Shannon's impressive 3km long rwy 06, just long enough for the Aero Commander. 2. Ennis Road with Woodcock Hill in the background. 3. Heading east now over Limerick with a first view of the River Shannon. 4. Keeper Hill is the most prominent high ground on the horizon. 5. The River Maigue joins the estuary near the locality of Mellon. 6. Passing over a PA-28 which is doing circuits at Shannon Airport. 7. Shannon Airport is in the distance. A very important refuelling stop in the early days of trans Atlantic flight in the 40s and 50s. The heavily laden piston airliners would have been glad of the 3.2km runway. 8. The River Deel at Askeaton. 9. Lakyle 10. Knockbrack East 11. Maulin. All straight vees with minimal cropping.

Simnut
There are 3 packages of freeware Irish VFR airfields on Avsim that are really well done. Search for "ireland_vfr_small_airports_part_1" 2 & 3. The guy put sounds, effects and more in them, well worth having until Orbx Ireland hits the virtual shelves.
