Republic3D
Just a quick question that I haven't found the answer to: How do I increase the radius of the Lights? For example, I was just flying in LA at night.. (which looks absolutely stunning in FTX Global), but the only thing annoying me is that the lights seem to "switch on" bit by bit when I get closer. I want to know how I can expand the radius those lights stay on? Does it have to do with the LOD factor in fsx.cfg? Please don't misunderstand, I'm not talking about the orbs themselves.. but the area they are visible. Thank you.
Wolter van der Spoel
did you try and adapt your LOD radius in the fsX.cfg, say from 4,5 to 6,5 ?
Republic3D
Changed it to 6.5 now, gonna see how it goes
John Venema
Yep, LOD_RADIUS is how to increase the distance of the lighting.
cptmorgan0812
6.5 really looks nice at night. In dx10 preview with Steve's fixer, VAS usage never exceeds 2.6gb. Been flying for about 3 hours now.
