jpreou
Franz Josef Glacier (NZFJ) (1 of 2) Some shots from the Franz Josef Glacier airport and region in the Baytower Studios RV-7A. I may have mentioned I was building an RV-8 until a few years ago. Well, I had to give that away. Rather, I chose to give that away. But the dream of building lives on. If the time and finances ever allow, the next attempt, which I won't start unless I'm 110% certain I can complete, will be an RV-7A, since my wife wishes to be seated next to me if we ever go flying together. Did you know, by the way, that an RV-7 can do the Auckland to Wanaka runin 4.5 hrs? A friend of mine did exactly that just a few days ago (in real life, just to clarify). Great plane. It was quite windy and bumpy ... possibly a prelude to what came next ... ...and for that you will need to go see part 2.

VH-KDK
Top shots Jeff. Great aeroplane and scenery. What height were you flying in cap 7, I didn't think an RV-7A could get that high.
