SCUD
Really nice pics!! Has anyone been able to find a flight plan for Mach Loop? I seem to remember seeing a mention of one at avsim but I've never been able to locate one.
COBS
There are no Flight Plans for the Mach loop. It is a military low flying area , the idea being to train pilots to manually hand fly aircraft at very low altitudes down deep in valleys , and I mean " LOW " , it's nap of the earth flying skill development . It is impossible for a autopilot to conform to both the constantly twisting flight path and the constantly changing variations in altitude required to stick as close as possible to the changing terrain. Reason is twofold. 1. Radar shielding provided by valleys. 2. To sneak up on a target without warning , thereby reducing defensive fire reaction time. To locate Mach loop: A. Type " Mach loop " in a google search. B. Use the following link and view both photo gallery and videos. http://www.google.co...XClQRW_t0qcaEGw Cheers Karol
