Scott Harmes
Hi. I'm hoping one of you brainiacs can help me identify this aircraft. Looks to have a similar shape to a Hercules, but much smaller and thinner, and just two engines. Cheers,
Orion Pilot
This would be a HS748..... I would say at Point Cook.....May be? The more I look at it --- the more Iam convinced - it is a HS748 - Once used by 34 Squadron RAAF as a VIP aircraft - also once upon a time used at the School of Air Navigation at East Sale if I am correct.... BlackburnBuccaneer
I would concur, it certainly looks like a 748 to me.

spud
Basler BT-67 (Basler Turbo Conversation LLC); enhanced DC-3 http://www.baslerturbo.com/ Cheers Rainer Definitely not the Basler. Look at the tailplane, does not have rouded tips like DC3/Basler and the Basler/DC3 has sweptback leading edge to wings. This A/C has straight wings. HS-748 is much closer IMHO. skypilot
I think the Navy had a couple too at HMAS Albatross in the mid 80s.
Orion Pilot
It is for sure a 748 --- and Yes Sky Pilot I am sure the Navy had a few of them aswell - I wonder if they were ex-RAAF ones or were they specialy made for the Navy?
