boxcar
. . . Rolling northwards at KJSY, Joseph, Oregon. . . . . . . Gear coming up. . . . . . Grabbing some altitude. . . . . . . Am fortunate to live in such wonderful country. . . . . . . Zooming by Enterprise. She's not visible though I'm directly above her here. . . . . . . Getting fast & low, like a good F-5e should. . . . . . Why, am believing I remember that butte from another simmer's recent flight. . . . . . . Steptoe Butte in SE Washington State. . . . . . . This FTX scenery looks great even when flying low! . . . . . . Lovely... just lovely. . . . . . . Just follow US 95N, you can't go wrong. . . . . . . Almost to KCOE, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. . . . . . . Looking back at Coeur d'Alene. . . . . . So when it comes to pleasure flying, instead of flying like this... . .Magnification 1.5X . . . . . ...I'd rather fly like this, enjoying a better view with brighter, more colorful lighting: . . Also magnification 1.5X, as many of my shots are. Is how I "fly". . . . . . . Then suddenly, a small amusement park being set-up at 21D4, Sliverwood. . . . . . . You just never know what you'll find in FTX scenery. .

boxcar
. Thanks, Eric! Here are the rest... . . Can see Lake Pend Oreille now. . . . . . . Cool flyby shot. . . . . . . Continuing the flyby. . . . . . . Sandpoint, Idaho. . . . . . . Banking slightly to straight northwards. . . . . . . Skimming the ridges & getting among the trees. . . . . . . Really nice country up here. . . . . . . Canadian border in sight, beginning to slow down now. . . . . . . Gear, flaps, ready to take her on in. . . . . . . Another cool flyby... . . . . . . ...is always a good thing. . . . . . . Challenging landing, 3 to 5 knot variable crosswinds with mild turbulence. . . . . . . Not too bad... . . . . . . ...then a slight over-correction finds me landing a bit left of center. Touchdown, Porthill Eckhart International with its 3650 foot runway. . . . . . . Just can't get enough of this fantastic scenery, man. . . . . . . Then pulling up to the pump, my drop tanks magically appear when the fuel is auto-filled! (they are also attached in the latter landing shots, which were captured in "Replay" after having pulled up to the pump already) . . Thanks for flying along with me. Hope you enjoyed the ride! ~David~ . .

boxcar
. Thanks so much, guys. Nice to find a good response here this a.m. Have received an email from a buddy, informing me that I'd blown on by Porthill Eckhart Int'l & went across the Motherland's border to land at CAJ3, Creston. The hospitality of our Canadian friends is good, though. They have me in a nice room with a one-way door for a while but the food is great & the people friendly. Hoping to be on my way soon... . boxcar
. No problems, am out & a free man once again. Just kept jabbering until the novelty of my presence wore off. They are likely enjoying more peace & quiet now. Great folks north of the border. Cool accents, subtle but endearing. Their jails are much more civilized too, I will add. .
