Skyrim Anyone?

Some great mods too... There are many (well, thousands), and not all are good (nude females anyone?) but with some careful selection, you can enhance the game-world by a fair degree.

Here are a few I use... there are alternatives, but these are the ones I like.

Note if you use many HD textures you may need to use the 4GB injector, to make the game Large Address Aware... Bethesda say they will make the game officially LAA next week. I'm using the standard exe with no issues, but avoid the massive textures, which look only marginally better than smaller versions imo.

Some very good replacement ground HD textures, though I find the 1024 versions best.

I thought some of you might like to see some Skyrim a few months down the line... its now heavily modified, just like my FSX, and it can look absolutely awesome. Apart from new textures, its good old ENBseries that makes the biggest difference, with an advanced version that makes the one available to FSX look very basic.

If you fancy something to get your teeth into other than FSX... and push your hardware, this is a great game.

Level 51 and STILL finding new places to go and things to do.. Magic..literally. Teecee.

That's great!...

I mucked up my saves by too much mod fiddling and had to start again at lv25... not that I minded too much, as you can do things so differently each time that its like a different game.

I'm basically a grubby warrior this time, avoiding magic as much as I can.

Sure thing Dan.... I'm using quite a lot, but here are some of the ones I consider essential.

Skyrim HD textures... Official package, which you update through Steam.

Glorious Grasses... quite a frame rate hitter, but worth it if you have the power.

Vurt's Floral overhall... I use the default aspen textures, but the rest are Vurt's.

http://skyrim.nexusm...file.php?id=141

Pure Waters... there are other good ones too, such as W.A.T.E.R

http://skyrim.nexusm...ile.php?id=1111

Better static meshes.

http://skyrim.nexusm...ile.php?id=8655

Enhanced distant terrain.

http://skyrim.nexusm...ile.php?id=1598

Realistic Mountains

And ENB... there are so many configs out there, and it depends on whether you like a natural look, or something more fantasy.

Check out the ENB Skyrim forum to see some of the work, and shared links.

TV_ENB is my favorite, but I'm trying to make my own... as above.

Bought it with steam and added some mods with the game workshop... Well after getting level 36 and finished the Dragon quest and the clan war (empire vs northern - but can't kill the last generals...) i've returned to it for a new one. As i was a northern in the first adventure i'm now a skaggit and everybody ask me "what do you want, Cat ?"...

So far, some mods are working with the workshop as betterbody, nudefemalebody... But the merchant with more money, some facelifts, weapons and armors, water or ENB can't work... incompatibilities ? Should i uninstall / reinstall completly TES V via Steam ( and loosing my backup - otherwise it will keep the errors...) ?

And i can't use nexus mod manager as at the start, steam takes the hand and seems to be prior within nexus...

I haven't finished Morrowind, as it was my first elder scroll experiment, will probably reinstall the GOTY edition on my laptop for the next holidays... FSX can't turn on it but TES III should ;)

Oblivion was a good one to me, shivering isles made me laught a lot.

Promess : i've taken lots of screens during my quests and will share it here with you when i will have time ;)

You have to be very careful with ESP mods, as they leave scripts in yours saves that cannot be removed, simple texture re-placers and ENB are fine though. If you try mods out to see if you like them, make sure they don't replace similar ones you have already, and make sure sure you don't progress in the game, making saves, then they can be removed with no harm done. I tried several water mods and ended up with missing textures and long pauses that ruined the game, so I had to start again.

My advice when starting afresh or for the first time is to to try as many mods in the opening section of the game, find the ones you like, remove the ones you don't and then start a new game, with the ESP's in place... you can then fiddle with textures and ENB to your hearts content.

My pleasure, I'm glad you enjoying it... the improvement you can make over the default is amazing.

Boris of ENB has released the latest version '0.113' which adds sun rays, and it look incredible. Add the d3d9.dll to an existing ENB config http://enbdev.com/do...d_tesskyrim.htm ... I wish he'd take another look at FSX; it would be very cool if some of these features could be added to the sim.

Light rays in action... looks even better in motion.

Ok totally addictive, been playing all weekend. Had to buy another horse, first one seems to have been killed by an ice troll. At least I could never find it after I killed the troll.

ROFLMAO

Geek be me ! Only level 14, but only played 2 days. (All of last weekend, LOL ) Incredible graphics.

Grabbed some of the hi-res texture mod, and one called " Convenient Horse". That horse call horn sure helps.

Whee!
