calum438
This airport looks pretty similar to Aeopelican in NSW. It has a small runway at 1800 feet. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Piper-PA-28-140-Cherokee/1270358/M/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled-(Pacific-Eagle/De-Havilland-Canada/1525467/M/ The second photo is of a dehavilland beaver on approach to the waterdrome at the northern end of the runway. John Dow
Lucky the pilot didn't use full throttle in that 150 or the camera person would have been flung out the rear window!
Iain Emms
Sure does look like a nice place and field indeed. cheers Iain
spud
Lucky the pilot didn't use full throttle in that 150 or the camera person would have been flung out the rear window! Every 150 I know only has 2 seats I think the A/C in the video might just be another model.
wolfko
Aprrox 20 years ago I flew a lesson with a C150 here at LOWI, which hat a 3rd seat in the back. Wolfgang

Wolfgang It might have had a 3rd seat but I'd wager that if you put more than the family cat back there you would not get airborne with 2 full size guys in the 'real seats' unless it was -10° F and had a 25 knt. headwind. The panel seems way too full of gauges for a 150 my guess is it is at least a 172.
John Dow
Yep, I think you are right, ity's probably a Cessna 172RG panel: http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1071925701027009667gEHUEZ I was fooled by the bump in the coaming but a second look indicates the bump is only RHS and the instrument arrangement in a 150 has a small dial in the top row, this has 5 large dials. This would also explain the quicker takeoff with three p.o.b.
