John Heaton
The seaside town of Southport in Lancashire U.K. - is famous for its super wide beach which in summer is used as a very large Car Park and one could picnic by the car on the sand. In the late 40s/early 50s joy flights were popular from this beach - from an area roped off as an airstrip - and one of the aircraft used was a DH 83 Fox Moth - and I just bought one from MS marketplace. The Nostalagia bit ?? - this was the very first time I ever flew in an aircraft - and it 1 quid (pound)for a 10 min flight - and I was 14 in the summer of 1949 A couple of shots - on the Beach at Southport pier - and a Blackpool tower fly by 4
