Hashtag1 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 So i just installed Orbx central and i cant install anything, it saying it cant find or missing scenery.cfg Am using FSX SE, i cant even sync the Orbx with the sim please help
Nick Cooper Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Hello, rename your scenery.cfg file to scenery.cfg.off and restart FSX. It will create a new one and then Orbx Central will work.
Hashtag1 Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Does that mean i will lose all my other scenery installed?
Nick Cooper Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Hello, Orbx Central seems to be telling you that the existing one is corrupt, as the simulator would not run without one. Using a new one, while keeping the old one will let Orbx Central work.
Hashtag1 Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Hello, so a new scenery file was created the old is off but am still getting the same error, i cant even sync the sim
Nick Cooper Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I see that you have selected FSX. Possibly, if you restore your original scenery.cfg file and select FSX:Steam Edition, Orbx Central will find it at C:\programdata\Microsoft\FSX-SE
Hashtag1 Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Please check through the generated log file, i have attached it central.log
Nick Cooper Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Thanks. Do you have C:\programdata\Microsoft\FSX-SE\scenery.cfg or C:\programdata\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg please? You could also try a complete reinstall of Orbx Central:https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/216453-how-to-completely-reinstall-orbx-central-in-windows/
Hashtag1 Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 It worked just fine after reinstalling Orbx central, now the download of Orbx library files has been stuck for 3 hours
Hashtag1 Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 It all worked thanks, but is that the correct order of priorities i have Global base and LC Africa installed?
Nick Cooper Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Hello, openLC Base needs to be below all of the other openLC entries and then all of those entries need to be below the lowest of your other developers' add-ons. The Insertion Point tool in Orbx Central will do all of that for you if you follow the brief guide on its Orbx Central page.
Hashtag1 Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 Hello, i dont know how to about with the Insertion Point tool of Orbx central, if you can kindly just guide me
