renault Posted December 29, 2020 Share Posted December 29, 2020 its been about 38 yrs since I was last in Lanzarote. Had a marvelous time, but I imagine it has changed a bit. Here are a few snaps in the colors of the Spanish Air Force Cheers Pete Puerto de Carmen I remember when there were spaces between the hotels . Not any more .... It was early enough that they were all still sleeping, so the noise didn't bother them at all Pico de Nego , but I'm not sure this is the name of the community as my map implies that the name refers to the volcanic cone.... Playa Blanca .... last time I was here there were a few white houses and ladies selling hand made lace tablecloths and that was it ... Now look at the place.... And my goodness .... traffic circles. I remember going there in a little Toyota open top jeep . My wife kept worrying our daughter would fall out. (something about seat belts hadn't quite become universally popular at that time). It was a replacement for a Fiat 128 which the previous renter had wrecked having a conversation with a cow, the day before we arrived. I think I liked it better when it was smaller ...... Puerto del Rosario in the background .... But this hasn't changed at all. It is a volcanic island and it shows, although it is much more immersive here than in the jeep ....
