Orbx Flyer Posted June 29, 2020 Share Posted June 29, 2020 The short story...I really miss a lot of the freeware Orbx airports that come in the Orbx Freeware Airport Pack for P3Dv4.x so...as you will not see it available through your Central Account when P3Dv5x is called up using Central...I decided to manually move it over from my v4 to v5. I fly out of the Greater Detroit Area a lot...and always loved the fact that across the river in Canada, Orbx had a pretty good CYQG (Windsor, Ontario) within the Airport Pack. I wanted that back...so... ....I moved the Freeware Airport Pack folder over into my P3Dv5HF2/Orbx/Global/(install here) and this is the result...a great looking and working Orbx CYQG, with all object flow working (people moving...) working. Just know, that you don't ask any SUPPORT for using the Orbx FREEWARE AIRPORT PACK for P3Dv4x, with P3Dv5. They will not support it, as they don't have it CENTRAL available for P3Dv5. After you install the (move) the folder over, you need to then run P3Dv5(whatever), and install (point) to that folder in the Scenery Folder mask. It will write the files, and then you can go to any of the airports you had in v4. Here is a take off and over-fly of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and CYQG working perfectly in P3Dv5HF2: Here's a couple with HDR turned off...and some have said they find my HDR settings too dark...: This is turned off: "OK, Jack...I moved up my Dynamic Brightness to .80, just for you! Orbx Flyer Posted July 1, 2020 Author Share Posted July 1, 2020 Been going down my list of the pack...even remote ones up north, in the U.S. and Canada, especially around the north shore of Lake Michigan. Anyways...glad to report, that all of the airports are looking v4.5 great...have no anomalies (I have my Scenery three slides at full right-->EXTREMELY DENSE) If that might make a difference in how they appear, then they are placed in a 'full right slide' world... All ObjectFlow people are doing their things...talking...sweeping...bossing others around....all working just fine. I'm glad I moved the folder over....missed them all! Gérard I have a few locals, I am glad to see back too. Gerard! Frankly...love ya, L.M...but your P3D v5 default airports...well...er...ah....SUCK! Yay Orbx, even if you have to grab the Orbx Freeware Airport Folder, kicking and screaming from its bed in P3D v4, and shove it into v5!!! LOL!~ Oh well....LOL!
