geejo
Can anyone tell me what SODE is and what do I need to do with it? I've seen it in Orbx Central. Should I download it? Thanks Geejo
Ian St
Yes SODE - Sim Objects Display Engine - https://sode.12bpilot.ch/ It is a free utility that brings the function of your jetways to life. Many developers now incorporate SODE jetways into their products so you won't have any without it installed.
AnkH
SODE is the shortcut for Simulation Objects Display Engine. Basically it is a small little tool that allows moving objects inside your simulator controlled not by the simulator itself, but by the external tool called SODE (via simconnect). Today, it is most known for the control of the jetways, but it is capable of doing a lot more (obviously). Windsocks can be SODE controlled, visual guidance systems can be SODE controlled (VDGS). I guess, the full potential of SODE is not yet used.
bvdboomen
Some developers use SODE for the trees in the scenery.
