olderndirt
The L1011 was, IMHO the finest wide body ever made - too fine for air carriers. This is an old model rehabbed for XP11, 2D panel and all but it looks fine in a screenie.

Jack Sawyer
Man oh man, what a great shot. I flew thousands of miles on these and as you know worked every inch of these for a long time. I miss them a lot. And yes, I agree OND, one of the finest jets.

We rode on a Delta L1011 from Kennedy to Manchester UK and return on one. Even in coach the seating was roomy and comfortable - best commercial ride I ever had. But did you know with their nose up attitude the flight attendants were complaining of back pain pushing the carts up hill? And that elevator was cool, I've ridden literally miles up and down in it. First class was the best followed by riding jump seat in the cockpit. Man do I EVER miss it!
