Janči Valko Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Hi, I've noticed this elevation issue at KORS when spawning on 'North Apron', it's too steep to taxi. Cheers, Jan
Jon Clarke Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Please check that you have "Runways follow terrain contours" enabled in XP Settings/general

Jon Clarke Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 @Greg Jones Please advise if the elevation/slope on the North Apron is intended to be as steep as is? It certainly makes for a less than smooth transit to the taxiway with it's current sharp rise/drop. @Janči Valko we will need to see what the developer has to say.

Greg Jones Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 We'll investigate at this end. Most likely it will require a patch to the TrueEarth region. Greg
Jon Clarke Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Thanks for your quick response. @Nick Cooper Nick would you oblige and mark this as BUG Report if possiblel?
kerrygipe Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 Interesting that I do not have this issue with my Orcas install, which does have the 'Runways follow terrain" option checked, and with the Washington HD pack installed. Only offering this up in the hope that it might help to track down the issue. Will happily post any of my log files if you feel it would help.
Jon Clarke Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 @kerrygipe Yes please and also your scenery_packs.ini and what OS you are on, Windows or Mac/Linux

CaptNil Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I'm also having this issue, not just on KORS, but also on the taxiway by the runway 26 in KVUO.
CaptNil Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 I've uninstalled the True Earth WA (with the enhancement pack) and KORS came back to normal, with no elevation issues.
lmalheiro Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Same problem gere. Also in other airports. Hapened after 11.40 upgrade.
kerrygipe Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Circling back around on this, because there has been no activity in a while now ( 2 months). Interesting that previously I did not have this issue with Orcas (see above) however now I do! I see exactly as shown by the original poster, plus I have a notable hump on the runway that wasn't there before. I have added Skagit in the past month or so, but no other additions or alterations to the general area have been made that should have triggered an elevation change at Orcas. Was a fix for this issue ever found?
Jon Clarke Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 I believe it remains for the devs to look into it with a possibility it may require a patch to the TE region as per @Greg Jones comment 3 months ago.
Greg Jones Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 This issue is proving to be a bit of a moving target though we're narrowing in on a possible solution. We'll post an update when we have something. Greg
kerrygipe Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Thank you Greg. I am going to attach my current log.txt file and my current scenery_Packs.ini (formatted as txt). You can cross compare them against the ones that I posted earlier in this thread back when Orcas was displaying properly for me. Perhaps you might see something there that might help. Also, if I may ask, if this ends up as a patch for Orcas, while you are in the file would it be possible to reposition the main starting spot to be on the lead in line in front of the FBO instead of it's current location, as shown below. I always feel so bad blowing my exhaust across those poor people when I taxi out with the current starting position, pointing right at them as they stand there Log.txtscenery_packs.txt

But I'm sure one of the community admins will come up with some great excuse. Shame, I could have spent so much money on Orbx products, now all I do is mention this everywhere I can so people see how they keep selling broken airport. And not just this one.
Airnews Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 @Greg Jones - any news on this issue? would be great to use KORS properly

Airnews Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Thanks @Greg Jones. @Tony Wroblewski - Do you by any chance have a timeline on the update to resolve the elevation issues at KORS?
Janči Valko Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 So will you fix this before releasing P3D version of TE Washington or you literally just don't care? It's reported since october 2019 and you are still selling this airport in your store. I'm so disappointed, one of the best sceneries and you went downhill like this. MSFS can't come soon enough.
Tony Wroblewski Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 There is a patch due shortly to smooth this bump out and also fix the water masking. The patch will come right after the two UK ones due this week.
