Jon Clarke
With TEGB Central imminent I am asking about the status of TERGB South SP1. I am not looking (cos you won't provide !) an ETA but just a general timeline, like, "January sometime" or similar. We still have the problem of the buildings overlap at a large number of airports which will not be evident in TEGB Central, so some uniformity will be looked forward to. vin747
John, i'm having a nightmare installing TE GB south.. i went for the manual download option and even though i downloaded 26 GB of data, it did not produce the required 12000 dds files in textures folder.. rather i only had 6000 files.. so ran 'verify files' and downloaded another 8 GB of data.. 24 hrs of non-stop installations and i still havent got a glimpse of the product.. i know TE products are massive in size but we need a better seamless installation process... Doug Sawatzky
Are you using a download manager? Please use a download manager for the below manual methods. Below is a good free DL manager, just beware in case it wants to install additional antivirus/malware like a lot of freeware does these days. https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ Browser extension DL managers do not work for this. Alternatively, you can also use a download manager (to help avoid corrupt downloads) such as IDM and do a manual download from your Orbx Direct account web page (this is where a download manager works great) and click on the account button top of page, then find and click on the product info, and in the bottom line small print there is a manual download option, down load it and save it in a named folder, then open FTXC3 and select it, and click on the orange "installation options" and select "Install from my manually downloaded .zip". as per the below links. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/127395-manual-download-of-products/ http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/125435-how-to-install-from-an-orbx-direct-downloaded-zip-file/ Cheers Doug
vin747
yes i did use IDM to manually download the 26 GB file and that was done in an hour.. i have a super fast connection.. but the issue is in the extraction/conversion/installation process after downloading... for e.g, some of the .dsf files around london area (50+001, 51+000, 52+001) dont show up.. i still have only 8000 dds files instead of 12000.. so the problem is with the installation that happens after the download.. Doug Sawatzky
Maybe do you have a hardware issue? A faulty memory module? Is your CPU overheating? Seeing as this is not a support topic let's please move it back to your other topic.
