KHQM Bowerman - Taxiways with transluscent grass layer

Recommended Posts

Still not able to get this displaying correctly.  It is the only airport I seem to have this issue with. I have:

Deselected ENVTEX for grass in case that was causing it.

Reinstalled ORBX Libs twice

Verified files for OPEN lc America

Cleared shader Cache

Made sure Orbx Libs is at top of Scenery Library

Put KHQM above ENVTEX entry just as a precaution.

Would really appreciate if anyone can throw in some ideas?  This is a fantastic little strip to use as a base for the region and am thinking of getting Pacific Northwest so would be great to get this up and running.

Perhaps the problem is that you don't have FTX PNW installed?  It's recommended that PNW be installed with KHQM to function properly.

Have a look:

Did wonder that Stewart so I bought and installed PNW (beautiful scenery, just flown from KHQM to Seattle and back to test it out) but KHQM is still displaying incorrectly.

Hi there,

it looks like you're using a replacement file for the default detail1.bmp semitransparent "bumpmap" with a very strong and unusual "grass" pattern. Our KHQM uses a different approach to most other add-on airports in terms of how the taxiway and tarmac areas are displayed, which makes it susceptible to odd visuals when a detail1.bmp file with high contrast or specific pattern is installed.

Hi Holger,

Thanks so much for solving this!  I am guessing it is a result of using Envtex.  I did unselect grass in Envtex to see if that would help but it’s almost as though it has left it behind.  Do you know where I might be able to get hold of the default file?

Cheers,

Rob
