mickham29
Hi ,Having installed KSAN, on selecting it in the scenario screen it goes through the normal loading terrain screen etc and will load the airport for about 2 or 3 seconds and then go back to the loading terrain screen and when reloaded it has loaded to the default Eglin airport. For the time that ksan is viewable on screen it is not the usual perspective that you normally see.I have done a file search on my system drive,p3dv4 drive and the folder where I keep all of my scenery files for any reference to KSAN.but nothing is showing up except flight plans and the orbx directory. This is the first time that this has happened to me.It also happens if I load any other airport first and then select KSAN Any thoughts? I have attached screen shots of the short time that the airport is visible to show the perspective Regards M.Hamilton
Scott Harmes
Hi, That is a strange one. Does this happen every time? Have you tried a PC restart and then tried loading the sim and KSAN? You could also try going in to FTX Central, open up the KSAN page, and click on "Verify Files". Cheers,
Jack Sawyer
Just updated it and same here. In P3D 4.3 when I am at the opening screen and all I do is just select KSAN I get the spinning blue circle then bam, CTD.

mickham29
Hi Scott Yes I have tried all of your sugestions,There must be something else interfering with the scenery, If I load the default KSAN there are numerous trees and buildings encroaching in the airport
Jack Sawyer
Sorry to hijack this post. I got it to work. Here's what I did. I took Scott's advice and verified the files through FTX Central, then I ran SEC in Vector. Then ran it without AS4 and I was there in A2A's Comanche and then added in AS4, it was overcast and I had good frames so I have no idea what caused it to crash. Michham, I hope you can get it working, the Orbx support here is the best in the world, if there's problem they'll fix it right away. I wonder if my event log will help? Nick Cooper
Hello M.Hamilton , there seem to be two problems here, yours and Jack's. For yours, please try disabling crash detection before you try loading the airport.
mickham29
Hi again Nick.I assume that you meant crashes and damage in the realism settings, because that is what I did and the airport is loading now as it should!! You are a genius What could be causing this? Regards M,Hamilton
Nick Cooper
It could be that where you start is too near to a scenery object. Can you say which start point this happens at?
mickham29
I had tried starting on the runway and numerous gates it didn`t seem to matterJust loaded gate 2 and then gate 23 all ok
mickham29
Hi again FYI if whilst sitting at the gate at KSAN I go into realism settings and reactivate crashes and damage the sim lmmediately reloads back to EGLIN.While sitting on the runway at EGLIN if I again disable crash and damage I am able to relocate back to KASAN [any gate]
