Simstarter NG (Latest version) - Simstarter has been used to create European, Americas & Oceania/Asia scenery sets. Scenery & Airports: 90% Orbx When I go through the P3D v4.2 flight set up for European Country airports, with Simstarter set to the European scenery set, P3D v4.2 load up continues ok until the 80% point, where it stops & via using Task Manager, I can see that P3D v4.2 has 'stopped responding' The 80% point is the junction between "Loading Auto Generated Scenery" & "Adjusting Scenery Objects" When I look at the Task Manager error message, this is what it says: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: AppHangB1 Application Name: Prepar3D.exe Application Version: 4.2.21.24048 Application Timestamp: 5a7c832c Hang Signature: 16f6 Hang Type: 0 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Hang Signature 1: 16f6d1c16065d51fbbbd3ad50d7141f9 Additional Hang Signature 2: f192 Additional Hang Signature 3: f1922bfd8866754d8d14a13e4a233e4d Additional Hang Signature 4: 16f6 Additional Hang Signature 5: 16f6d1c16065d51fbbbd3ad50d7141f9 Additional Hang Signature 6: f192 Additional Hang Signature 7: f1922bfd8866754d8d14a13e4a233e4d Oddly, this AppHang does not occur for American or Oceania/Asian airports, & I can also have Skyforce & AS for P3D v4 running with them & they load up ok. TigerTigerM Posted June 8, 2018 Author Share Posted June 8, 2018 I've been working on this off & on for a couple of days. AppHangB1 has been replaced by CTD. If I use a Simstarter NG, European Airports set, then - Prepar3D Scenario, Location, Change airport, & pick an airport in any European Country that includes & is East of Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Albania & Greece, P3D v4.2 loads ok & the airport appears. (So Russia & Ukraine load ok. If I pick any country to the West of the above countries, then I get a CTD at 100% & the airport does not load. That includes UK, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Austria & Italy. If you get a map of Europe you can run a line down the Western Borders of the countries that load ok & it essentially divides Europe in two. The loaders to the East & the crashers to the West of the line. Also, if I set up a flight departing from Russia & arriving in Germany, that flight loads ok. Very head scratching. Nick Cooper Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 If it was my problem, I would be looking for something that all the problem areas have in common. Could it be FS9 AI aircraft or perhaps FS9 based scenery addons. As Stewart has already pointed out, FS9 models will cause the problems that you have.
