whiggy
Hello! I'm using P3Dv4.1 with FTX Global, Vector and openLC europe. There is a elevation-problem with water-areas: I have no other scenery installed in this area. So, please help me how to fix this.
whiggy
OK, now I installed a freeware-mesh and now it's ok. It looks like the water-areas has correct high but island terrain has not enought resolution.
Dadtom65
Did you run Vector in the settings ? which can sort out height problems. Derek.
Stewart Hobson
Vector only works with airport elevation problems, not with this kind of problem.

No, vector is the problem. I can confirm: Disable this folderfor testing: ORBX!VECTOR_CVX will solve the problem! It looks like change hight in waterbodies. Stewart Hobson
My response was to Dadtom. His post seems to imply that running Vector (AEC) will fix this type of issue. It will not, of course. I could be wrong about what his response means, but that's what it seemed to mean to me. Some of Vector's water body elevations may very well be incorrect, as you have pointed out.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, Global Vector does indeed rely on an add-on terrain mesh to prevent lakes on plateaus or in sinkholes; see https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/102356-geographical-representation/ Cheers, Holger
