ESSA - new patch and control panel options

Not sure if this has potentially happened to everyone or just me, but the latest ESSA patch has left duplicate bgl files in the ESSA folder. This seems to have happened because my original install had options selected “off” in the control panel. The new patch appears to have simply replaced all those files at install and not respected the installed config panel options.

You don’t notice anything unless you look in the folder as the control panel options still appear to function correctly.

i fixed it by doing a reinstall. The folder looks normal now.

You could simply check the files for yourself.

If you have both, delete one.

Could you please elaborate a bit on this please.

Exactly what file(s) do I need to delete to make ESSA work as normal again in regards to the options that are currently not working in my case since I keep getting static aircraft even with that option unchecked.

Maybe the easiest solution is to uninstall/install ESSA.

Thats what i did. Too many duplicates to keep track of. it was quicker to reinstall

Yes, the easy option is to uninstall and reinstall.

The control panel switches files on and off by changing the suffix to .off.

If you look in the folder and see two files, each with identical names but

one with .off at the end, you need only delete one of them and the control

panel will work again.
