jfwharton
Hello. I searched but couldn't find anything regarding this issue. After installing openLC North America I noticed strange lights over the runway at KSEA at night. I have attached two screenshots. Apparently they are street lights for a street that is crossing the runway. I tried updating the scenery for KSEA which is shown in the screenshots but the lights are still there. They go away if I uninstall openLC North America. Is there a fix for issues like this one?
Stewart Hobson
I think what you're seeing are the street lights for the street that goes *underneath* the runway. Also, it looks like you need to run the AEC tool for KSEA to take care of that plateau visible in your screenshot at 31(?) R.
jfwharton
Ah there is a street going underneath the runway. Interesting. Already disabled AEC for KSEA as I have added new scenery so that it depicts the current 3 runway configuraton. With AEC enabled the 3rd runway was below ground level. Either way, with the new scenery or without it I have the street light in the middle of 34R. So I'm hoping there is some way rid of the street lights on the airport without uninstalling openLC NA. Stewart Hobson
Ok, then are you aware that there is a control panel setting for PNW that allows turning off lights *if* you have OpenLC NA installed? This may be the source of the problem.
Nick Cooper
Hello, I think there is a spurious road that only show up at night.
jfwharton
I do not have PNW installed, Just Global Base, Vector and openLC NA. Regarding the road, it is there in the day but at night the street lights come on and one is in the middle of 34R at KSEA.
Nick Cooper
Yes, there is a spurious road that only show up at night.
jfwharton
Yes I see the road that is there day and night, and the street lights come on at night. I'm guessing there isn't a way to edit these lights out of the scenery? Has this been added to a list of fixes for future updates to openLC NA? Just curious. Nick Cooper
There are two roads. One that you can see and one that you cannot see. In the PNW KSEA version, the road that should be in a tunnel is in a tunnel but you can still see the road that is not there in the real world. But only the street lights in the dark. jfwharton
OK, thank you for the information. Looks like I'll just have to get used to it and that purchasing PNW wouldn't fix it. It's just a nit noy, shouldn't have brought it up. Thanks.
