riverreveal
Hi, new to prepar3d. Installed Saturday and so far only added Orbx Global, Vector and HD trees. This is how it looks with nearly everything maxed out after taking off from the default starting airport (Elgin?): Is this how its meant to look? the ground textures outside look very low quality. I havent touched anything except in game graphic settings. I can make it look worse by using lower settings, but not better using high settings. My system is: Nvidia 1070 8GB Ram 3570k Cpu @4.00 Sony Evo SSD Even though most things are near max (except shadows, dynamic veg, traffic) I am getting over 90 fps which for my system seems rather high. John Dow
In my experience P3D is a softer image than FSX, not as crisp and sharp. However, you seen get used to it.
riverreveal
I think I was expecting things to look more like this: rather than: I don't know about FSX or other flight sims as this is my first flight sim, so have been going more by youtube videos and screenshots on product pages. Nick Cooper
Hello, You will need to adjust the lighting settings which will bring you much closer to the screenshot that you want to emulate.
riverreveal
Thanks Nick, After messing about with lots of lighting settings, plus some before/after comparisons, ect I think I just needed to give it a bit more time. After flying around in lots of different areas, experiencing the scale of what Orbx global and vector achieve I m now very impressed.
Mikelab6
Don't forget, the zoom factor while on external view will also makes the scenery to looks better or worst. Keep it below 70%. Mike
