FTX Global Vector 1.52 won't run AEC Auto Configuration

Recommended Posts

I have p3D V3.4 on the "P" SSD

I have P3D V4 on the "S", SSD

When I go through Ftx  Central 3 & choose P3D V4, then via Settings  try & run Vector AEC , the Vector Configuration asks me to choose a Simulator from the drop down list before I run the Auto Configuration.

Except no Simulators are listed to choose from.

So I can progress no further.

Any thoughts on how to get around this?

I have already uninstalled Vector in P3D V4 & reinstalled.

Vector AEC appears to be running ok in P3D V3.4

Thanks

No Doug.

Still get a"Validation Message" pop up that says "Please select a simulator from the drop-down first".

But I am going to try something - have had this problem installing aircraft - Font too big, can't see all options. Shrink font. Will report back.

Report: No change.

I suspect the answer is that apart from freeware & LO5, I have no Orbx airports installed in P3D V4 yet that are picked up when scenry.cfg is scanned by Auto Config.

Hello,

The Vector control panel must be run from the ORBX\FTX_VECTOR folder.

Thr ORBX folder must be in the simulator root folder.

The root folder of the simulator must have its .exe file in it, in the case of

P3Dv4, Prepar3D.exe and there must be a registry entry pointing to the same root folder.

If all these conditions are not in place, you see the result.

If all these conditions are in place, you should see this instead.

Via Regedit I checked that in P3D V3.4 & P3D V4 & made sure they matched (P3D V3.4 AEC works, P3D V4 doesn't).

Still no joy in P3D V4.

Head scratcher, & appears from other thread entries I am not the only one getting this.
