TigerTigerM
When I got AFS2 via Steam I put it in spare space on a Hard Drive. Now I have Orbx AFS2 LOWI I would like to move the whole shooting match to a new SSD. Is that feasible, or should I start from scratch & delete the current AFS2 & LOWI & download it all again pointed to the SSD drive? The other query is, can I expect the AFS2/LOWI to run better on an SSD then an HD?? In other words, is it worth trying to move or re-install it all?? Guest
Hi,With Steam, it's touchy to move a part by yourself as it repairs by itself when you start the client. You have to uninstall the program and reinstall it into the new location
Tutmeister uk
In steam you can tell it to move individual installs to different locations. Go to properties of the game and you can tell it where to move it to. It handles everything for you. Chris
frkristi
I tried moving AFS2 between two drives, and it didn't take the folder containing my addon scenery. Now FTX Central won't even recognize that AFS2 is installed, and I have no option on how to reinstall it.

HiFlyer
The only other option would have been using Steammover. As far as your system was concerned, Aerofly would appear to still be in its original location, but in actuality, it would be on your chosen new drive. http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover Saves ten trillion gigs of redownloading Aerofly! frkristi
I'll try both these advices. Currently moving AFS2 back to it's original location with Steam Mover. If that doesn't help, I'll just reinstall it. Thank's guys!
frkristi
Complete reinstall of both AFS2 and addon sceneries was the only working option in my case...

Yeah, Steammover is pretty much for moving the files in the first place, rather than moving them back... The correct order in your situation would have been reversing your original move, then using steammover to move the files to their new home.
