resolved No more FTXConfigurator.exe?

In an attempt to debug some Iceland Demo issues I uninstalled all of my Orbx content, cleared the Orbx folder, and then reinstalled all Orbx freeware using FTX Central 3. Now that I've done this I no longer see FTXConfigurator.exe in the Orbx Scripts folder. Is this by design?

You are correct. FTXConfigurator.exe has been re-written and integrated into FTX Central v3.

A request regarding FTX Central V3: Whenever I use this interface to install or update Orbx scenery, it scrambles the scenery priority for all of scenery.cfg scenery entries I've painstakingly laid out using Scenery Config Editor (FTX Central V3 appears to resort the scenery based upon installation date). As I have nearly 1,000 sceneries installed this is more than inconvenient. My only remedy is as follows:

1) Make a backup of scenery.cfg prior to running FTX Central V3.

2) Run FTX Central V3, install/update Orbx scenery, close FTX Central V3

3) Open Scenery Config Editor and take a screenshot of how FTX Central V3 prioritized the Orbx entries

4) Close Scenery Config Editor and restore scenery.cfg to the version prior to using FTX Central V3

5) Open Scenery Config Editor again and scan the Orbx folder for new sceneries

6) Set priorities for Orbx sceneries by referring to the screenshot

 

If you know of a better way I'm all ears.
