ThrottleUp
Hello friends Hope this is the right forum as its not really a support question but a more general one This faithful old machine of mine just cannot handle the ORBX and Im getting slide shows. I've begun researching for my next gaming rig which will be a beast hee hee. Anyway, I just wanted to ask you all - what is the procedure for installing my ORBX products on the new machine? I'm going to be wiping all the drives on this old one. But before that I will of course do the proper uninstall for my ORBX stuff. Does this work like Windows? ORBX will detect that I uninstalled and will stop tying my license #s to this machine? The licenses work on a type of hardware signature? Will my ORBX just install ok on the new machine or will I have to contact you all letting you know of the new hardware etc. Thanks
Nick Cooper
You have no need to uninstall anything from your old device. Just format the hard drives and it will all be gone. As you install your products onto the new device, the necessary registry entries will be added.
ThrottleUp
Thanks for that information Nick, this makes things easier. I thought I would have to activate them all again with ORBX.
Meerkat
When you start the installers, they ask you for your order number, order date and serial number - which you should have received from FSS. These numbers are hardware independent.
ThrottleUp
Thanks Markus, hardware independent - thats what I was looking for I better save all my info from FSS
Gent
Or better yet wait for the transfer from fss to Orbx and as I understand it you can install all without having to enter info for each product? They may even have a install all option. Terry
