Jack Sawyer
Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it? I have vertical water on the sides of the airport and not shown a large area of water on the airport where there should be grass. I tried to run the AEC tool and also looked for PADQ in either left or right and couldn't find it. Also in screenshot three, whiz area near PADQ looks like it's missing some roads and texture. Jethro VH-JET
Hi Jack, This issue has been reported and noted many times, perhaps there is a solution in a future service pack. If you search the "Orbx Support Forum" type PADQ you will see quite a few topics on the subject. Indecently PADQ is an FTXGlobal freeware airport and is in the OLC NA CAN AK coverage area. There are differences between Vector/OLC and default as to where the shoreline and airfield boundary fence are drawn. Vector and OLC will have more accurate shoreline for the area, LandClass will also show greater detail particularly with regard to the nearby airfield icao "KDK" and township of Kodiak, also found in the Global freeware NA airports package. Jack Sawyer
Thanks Jeff, I should have done a search before posting, my bad. No problem, I can live with it and can still use the airport. I was just wondering if I had a problem on my installation. So not a problem. Best regards, Jack
Stewart Hobson
I honestly thought this problem has been fixed, perhaps in an update to the NA Freeware package?
Nick Cooper
It's fixed here but I'm not sure if it's the freeware airport or Vector 1.40 (beta). If it's Vector, it shouldn't be long before it's released.
Stewart Hobson
I just loaded up PADQ and everything is fine. I'm fairly certain this correction was made in the latest issue of the NA Freeware pack.
Nick Cooper
Good, no one needs to wait then.
Jack Sawyer
Hey fellas, I doubt I have PADQ as Orbx freeware. Stew, you mentioned it comes in a freeware pack? Do I need the entire pack? If so what is the name of the pack I need? If you have no vertical water then I'd like it too. Thanks Nick and Stew!

Nick Cooper
It's included in the NA freeware pack that I linked to. If you click on the orange View airports link, it will download a .pdf file which lists all the airports in the pack, including PADQ.
Jack Sawyer
Got it Nick, thank you. I have Vector and it has a black and a blue X where it says to disable under AEC. How do I do this? Sorry for so many dumb questions but I never used Vector till last week.
Nick Cooper
Open FTX Central select Tools and then from the list on the right select FTX Vector Configuration Tool. Select Airport Elevation Corrections (AEC). Type the ICAO code for the airport you wish to disable in the box under AEC IS ENABLED FOR. The ICAO code will appear in the box under that, highlight it and click on the Disable>> tab, Click on Apply and wait for the process to finish. Click on Exit. Not a problem. I am going to check out them all, it'll give me a reason to make even more Orbx to Orbx flights! Love it! Thanks again Nick. Cheers. Nick Cooper
No, there is also the Run Auto Configuration tab at the top, click on that and wait. It should do all the airports that need doing together.

Jack Sawyer
Hooray! It's fixed. I installed the N/A Airport package, then ran the Vector tool and went to PADQ in the default helicopter and it looks great. Thanks Nick and Stew! Thanks a lot for your help.
