Camberra Airport with new Terminal

As has been pointed out here many times by JV Orbx airports are a snapshot in time. The airport is as is when created. As the developers move on to new airports the originals will almost certainly under go changes in the real world. If a developer was to keep updating an airport we would not see any new airports from that developer as he would be bogged down on updating his original creation.

And how does this tally with the announcement of YMML v.3?. I guess that the major part of the released airports are indeed "snapshots in time" - but there does appear to be some hope for some chosen few. And if ever an airport needed an update then it is indeed Canberra...

Did you check who is doing YMML for ORBX? Not the original designer but Turbulent Designs.

Hmmm.  So are you somehow suggesting that TD is doing this v3 project on their own, independently of ORBX?  If not, then how is this relevant?

Generally speaking you are right, these airports are snapshot in time -- but it is also not impossible for one or two of them to get updated.  Nobody should expect that, but nor should we suggest that it cannot happen either.

And given that this airport is not currently available for P3D v2 or v3, it does make one wonder if there is not something in the works.  I would have probably phrased the question differently, but it is not a totally unreasonable question to ask.

Turbulent are being contracted by Orbx to do YMML V3 and we have supplied the source files to them. We're doing YMML V3 because I was never quite happy with its lack of a proper ground polygon and customers have been asking for this to be added for quite some years.

YSCB on the other hand has a full ground poly and other than not showing 2016-era buildings, is feature complete.

We generally don't update past airports based on new construction of terminals, runways, taxiways etc - they are indeed a snapshot in time. In the case of YSCB the developer no longer work for Orbx so it is doubtful if another Orbx developer would want to invest time and effort extending Hugh Johnson's original work due to the nature of royalty contracts in place.
