adam - were these pics pre or post the so called Australian up date - which could show that Asobo stuffed up the Sydney City scape

as they did with Brisbane, and might explain why Orbx are having so many probs with mis-alignment

I keep MSFS updated (fairly promptly). These are definitely post AU update - but I seem to remember the problem being there before (but I didn't flag it here as a bug at the time).

  2. Late summer here in NZ, but I'm wondering if spring has "sprung" in the UK! Here's the Flying Iron MkIX Spitfire over Gloucestershire:

I'd love to enter this last one in the comp, but I suspect it doesn't show quite enough Orbx (UK Central) scenery :(

  3. Well (Nick?) .. I think we can safely put this one to bed now ;) ... IMHO I don't think it's anything whatsoever to do with Orbx - or the Orbx Wu7 AUS addon.

Here's what I think to be a quite reasonable/acceptable PG view (at around 2,000ft):
    Melbourne-10-1350.jpg?dl=1

Zoomed in, we can see PG at its worst - but, as Jon has already pointed out, it's not really designed to be looked at this close:
    Melbourne-11-1350.jpg?dl=1

If you don't get bandwidth issues, you should see views like this:
    Melbourne-12-1350.jpg?dl=1

    Melbourne-13-1350.jpg?dl=1

    Melbourne-14-1350.jpg?dl=1

Without PG, that canopy of the railway station is totally flat. With PG, it's quite an improvement, IMHO.

Diversion over - I'm off to explore Sydney!!!!

  4. That's pretty well what I'm seeing, John.

Also - my original screenshots are totally wrong - as I hadn't enabled WU7 from Marketplace. I had thought the original mega-download would have enabled it by default. I wonder how many other people got caught out by that one, LOL! I don't remember needing to have to do that extra step in the past.

I'll post some updated shots soon, I hope.

I'll try the rolling cache stuff but I think Adam's scenry is default, I mean with no photogrametry enabled

You see the huge tower with a yellow something near the top in my last shot? You don't seem to have it

The color and texture of your scenery buildings seem all default to me, like off line I mean

I use the Google Map Tiles Replacement tool:

    https://flightsim.to/file/19345/msfs-2020-google-map-replacement

As far as I could see, photogrammetry was working fine - but it was *not* the Bing version. I'll try another session without running the tool.

  6. Maybe it's a server/bandwidth problem - and that the Asobo servers are currently under heavy load with WU7. It may just sort itself out later on.

One thing to try is to set a Data Rolling Cache - which could maybe take some load off scenery tiles downloads, so hopefully freeing up some bandwidth for the photogrammetry.

I'll give Melbourne a test flight to see what I see!

  7. I'm enjoying Auckland Landmarks greatly - but have spotted a small bug. Not exactly a show-stopper, but it'd nice to have it fixed along with any other updates:

    Auckland-City-Bridge-Bug-01-1350.jpg?dl=

This only happens at the NORTHERN end of the bridge, where northbound traffic drops down - to what may be a default Asobo route (or the elevation is wrong).

Nice to have both NZ and Maori flags there!

    Adam.
