About 87,000 other MS2020 users seem to like it though

I'm one of them.  Skeptical at first it allows me to manage what is active in my Community folder with a few clicks. and turn on/off what I want or don't want upon launch of the sim.  It also has an option that I use to first start LittleNavMap, love it.

  2. I'm sort of with you too Don.  P3Dv5 is not giving me any problems and looks great.  Plus it has lot's of great aircraft that I enjoy.  Right now for MSFS I'm pretty much avoiding the Community folder altogether.   I did create an outside the sim folder for Orbx addons (via Orbx Central) and don't install any  addons directly into the sim, either P3D or MSFS.  Some addons specify they must go into the sim itself but I don't use any of them.    Enjoy your sim, I know I do.  :)

Thanks Brad, I'm trying to create a folder "Community Orbx" where do I put it?

    Hi Don,

Curious why you want a Community Orbx folder.  Orbx addons are generally installed to your main Community folder by default unless you have created an outside library in OC and point the installer to that folder.  Is it for mods that are related to Orbx products?

  4. Update was a nightmare for me.  Probably mostly because of my  impatience.   After the update I tried to start a flight but after clicking on the Fly Now button it would change screens but then hang and never start.  No problem, I'll just uninstall and reinstall it.   Except the download from the Microsoft Store would never start. (turns out it was a foliage/texture issue from a tree mod from Bijan that has a new version out already to fix it)    I tired searching for answers and ended up making sure all  traces of MSFS were gone and tried again.  No luck downloading from the MS.  I then bought the Steam version and installed it but it only wants to go to my C: drive which is a SSD but only 250 GB.   Tried the MS again a few days later and it downloaded ok!  But, again to the C drive....ugh.   Managed to figure a way to get it on a 2TB SSD now and it runs great.  Managed to delete all my addons in the Community folder in the process.  Best thing I have done so far with MSFS.  Now I can add back in things after verifying from others that they work and maybe using a method like Nick is using.   I did get the MSFS Addon Linker and am setting that up as well.   All my Orbx titles were in an outside Library and easily added back in using Central/Settings/Help/Sync Simulator for MSFS.  So far I only have the trees mod and KCGX Grand Canyon (very nice) in my Community folder.

So all's well that ends well, back to testing new goodies.

PS  Almost forgot to mention that Steam/Valve have already issued my a refund for the Steam version that I don't need, now that the MS edition is working again.

I always thought bangers was a description of the after effects of eating British sausages and that the mash was supposed to counteract those effects .....

The combo of exploding sausages and mash would be a lethal combination!   What I want to know is who came up with mushy peas? (actually pretty good, had them in Ireland a few years ago)
