  1. Installed beta 1 via OC with no issues.

Performance is excellent for obvious reasons.

The area of these fire lookouts is stunning!

After hours of testing I still need to visit them all again just for fun.

    Observations:

Not sure additional windsocks are a good idea if they are not there IRL.  Flags, smoke, etc should be enough at the ones without a sock.  I say keep the realism and let the pilots check weather, winds, etc before flying into them.  Some of the crashes are almost as much fun as a good landing.  🙂

Overall the detail is amazing. How you created and placed all those rocks with so few issues is beyond me.  Great placement of vegetation, animals (though a few squirrels in easy to spot places would be fun).  Haven't had the chance to run the roads in the Juice Goose yet but will next.

Like Darryl I found a few sites had the runways reversed on the world map.

The snow issue has already been explained and I'm seeing the same.

I'll have to revisit IDPPL to confirm what Darryl sees as to no rwy outline on world map.

    Some notes:

    IDTBM

rwy starts reversed on world map

Parking 1 should be a Helicopter start?

    IDPYP

Runway starts ok on world map

Snow piles showing on start.  Checking weather options cleared them.

    Parking 1 to be heli?

    Flag, windsock, smoke accurate

What a great place to go camping!

Parking 3 is next to the runway but Parking 1 and 2 are far away and appear to be the beginning of the Trinity Mt Hill Climb.  Not obvious at first as they are a bit aways from the lookout.   Parking 2 could be set as H?

Did manage to get off the ground (barely) with the Zenith STOL but landing is tricky.

Gap under this rock.  In general I found very few instances of rocks with gaps.  Some that stick out might seem to float at first glance but look ok to me.  I've spent a lot of time in the Sierra Nevada mountains and also the Rockies and boulder/rocks jutting out are normal. The overall look of the rocks placed is great.

    windsock ok

Parking 2 ok but Parking 1 upon spawning my aircraft slid down the mountain and crashed!  As a general note some of the rwy starts are not advisable at all since if you spawn on the downhill end you'll never live to tell about it.  I wouldn't change anything as any pilot would be advised to check the area out first before ever attempting to land there.  Actually in real life you couldn't just "spawn" on a runway start in the first place.

This stands out for me.  An untended campfire!!  Maybe just add a person standing nearby?

Floating rock but very minor. You would have to be looking for it to find it.

  2. Just went there to check.    Looks like it sits up high from this angle.  From the other side it looks flatter.  I've been to St George area but not right at the airport itself but this is what it looks like to me in the sim.  Same for you?

  3. Try looking at the Return to Misty Moorings website.  Along with some great Orbx airports in Alaska  they have many bush strips, Forest Service locations and other goodies.  All freeware.

  4. Welcome back into flight siming Cathy!  Recognized your name and face right away.

I would recommend  the Store version and go Premium.  A lot of newly released content seems to come out first for store edition and sometimes much later for the XBox version.

My parents especially my mother as my dad died young. Since my interest in flight simulation 2 gentlemen who led me in the right direction in airport design and took the time to make my projects better - Al Gay from Flight Ontario and Neil Hill. Unfortunately both are no longer with us but I still hear them when I am designing an airport.

Spent a lot of time at Neil Hill's house pouring over scenery creation up in Lynnwood, WA   Miss that guy!
