  1. Back at work 100% from today actually. Been slowly easing back into work and today I moved in to my new office and work is continued full throttle!
  2. Hey guys! I’ve been taking some time off to focus on my family & health and I feel more energized now and I’m slowly easing back into work. Thanks for everyone’s patience! So current status for Bromma is that we’ve gone through some beta testing. During this period we also found some really really nice imagery for the airport area and the close sourroundings that we decided was such a great improvement that I’m actually redoing quite a bit of work to incorporate this imagery in the project. Thousands of cars to remove, different 3D-terrain-insets to redo, color grade, and merge with the newer imagery we’ve been using so far as there are so many things going on around Bromma that imagery that is just a few years old can be quite dated. We’ve also been creating some new statics (now that BRA is back in the air we thought we should salute that!), and adding more details airside to create even more immersion. Now that we also know what was included in the WU5 it’s easier to make a version that is not depending on patches right away which is also great. So, that’s where we are at, at the moment. It’s taking longer than I was anticipating but I think it will result in a much greater product as well. It’s a new kind of project for me and a new platform, so things is a bit hard to predict. Thanks for the patience and I hope I can be back soon with more details and previews.
  3. Hey guys! Apologize for not replying earlier. I am taking some time off to recover a bit, its been an intense period both work wise and personally and Ive not been feeling that well and need some time to rest and look after my health and spend time with my family. So as the World Update is scheduled for later this month I have decided to wait for it and gather some new strength before adding the finishing touches so we also don’t need to patch it first thing. (Also might mean that I will be back as a superman, rested and ready to put in an extra gear for my future airport adventures!) Apologize for the wait! Cheers, Marcus
  4. If by Nordkap you were thinking of Honningsvåg, Valan Airport, I have actually been looking at that airport for ages Such an interesting spot! I need to visit Norway soon, haven't been there for years now and mainly been in the Oslo area. Worked in Ålesund (ENAL) for a few months after highschool and went to Narvik when I was a teenager with my family. My winter cabin is just a few kilometers from the Norwegian border and every time I go up in the mountains hiking you can see the massive mountains peaking up as soon as you reach Norway, it's almost like they made the border exactly at the spot where things started to get interesting
  5. The political opposition is against the closing of Bromma and the decision might get reversed. Plus, they are just starting to investigate how a closure would be arranged, the last time that they did that analysis was in 2014 and the verdict that time was that they in that case needed an extra runway at Arlanda, which has also been debated for ages and seems hard to achieve politically. This discussion pops up every now and then. Current lease is to 2038 but I doubt it will stay open that long. The express train to Arlanda takes 20 minutes from the city centre, so Bromma is not even the closest option to a lot of people living here. Doubt the community will fight to keep it open. This scenery will most likely be quite dated the time the real airport closes. On the other hand the real airport is also quite dated so maybe that makes it even
  6. Thanks for getting back to me, Could you try to enable dynamic lights in the ESSA config tool as well? If you have them turned off in the simulator there should be no difference in performance. Just so we can see if that is why your ground textures are not showing.
  7. Hey! Just a quick question, are you having the ESSA config tool set to it's default settings? Some users has reported issues when having Dynamic lights option turned off which I've been looking into and will patch.
  8. Yep, we have animated them even though current SDK does not really allow it. It's sort of a work around but very proud of what our dev was able to make. Was the same in FSX and P3D as well, luckily SODE came and gave us an option to add it that way instead. It will be patched once Bromma is released, together with ESMS as well. No working VDGS at the moment though. We are not sure when that will happen (maybe with the World series Nordics as they are releasing ESSA which have those kind of gates?), so we figured we just try to bend & twist the current SDK to do stuff it is not really fond of doing
  9. Thanks guys for the support and compliments! We will see what happens with ESSA at a later stage. Let's focus on Bromma for now. We can revisit that subject later on
  10. Thank you, that was very nice of you to say As for World Update 5, I'm continuing on Bromma & Stockholm and then we'll have to see what is included in the release and make a compability patch after that. As I've understood that ESSA will be added for free, it might mean that my ESSA project will be scraped. We'll see. Hard to compete with free content.
  11. Of course Ive got all my focus on that before moving forward with anything else
  12. As for ESSA, that's the plan. I'm looking at porting PAVD, but got a few other ones ahead of that one
  13. Thanks for the support guys! We are getting closer but still a bit to go. It’s all modeled, some texturing work left. Better make it good than quick
  14. I am working on porting them. But first finish Stockholm-Bromma Im hoping to be able to port all my airports. With focus on the bigger ones in Sweden and Spain first.
  15. Yes, it is my full time job. But I have got two small kids and am at the moment a bit reduced in work capacity until my son starts förskolan And yes, it takes alot of time to create projects this size! I got some help this time though, otherwise this would never be completed Glad you are developing yourself! Hope to see more swedish developers!
  16. Figured you guys deserved at least a few screenshots Note these are WIP and details & clutter has not yet been added.
  17. Seems like you will have 200 feet to spare between the CRJ 700 take off requirements and the runway length
