  1. I looked through my sparse collection of MSFS Amphibians & alighted upon the Grumman Goose.

Entirely appropriate in an Alaska livery.

Plus the AP works now, so I can set off for Juneau & go & have a coffee whilst the miles are bled off.

A few shots using SoFly Typical UK Spring Day. I think I should have had clear skies & sunshine to do Ketchikan justice.

However, WYSIWYG in the set below. Orbx Alaska Mesh is also in place here.

Ketchikan is nicely situated on the BC Coast for trips to all points of the compass.

An excellent & well rendered choice for Throwback Thursday.

Waiting to depart from the Southern end.

Juneau is almost dead straight ahead from here.

A different perspective of the Goose.

Up & away. A stern trawler in the background?

Ketchikan is quite compact as regards placement of operations buildings & hangars.

The airport is back on the RHS. What is not showing is the flashing line of lead in lights taking you to the runway during an approach from the North.

Many thanks John, I actually quite liked it at the end, it's like a magic carpet out of a sudden :D

    Thank you very much John.

Hahaha. I like your humor, Gerold!

    Thanks a lot, Wayne.

I use the MSFS legacy converter :)

I had a look at the MSFS Legacy Converter.

    Hmmm:)

How does one ascertain the the convertee subject aircraft  is pure FSX & not a reworked FS2004 or 'impure'?:)

    Nice work.

I've had a couple of theses crouching legless Tigers pulled across from FSX/P3D that fly very nicely.

Pure seat of the pants in the absence of gauges.

Actually, I, to use a common phrase, misspoke!

I Got FSX into P3D with the naked undercarriage, not FSX/P3D into MSFS.

So how did you get FSX into MSFS??

  4. I added Burbank to MSFS in the recent 50% off sale, [thank you Orbx],  & have been flying out of there & Van Nuys ever since.

    2 quite different airfield setups.

The former has 2 runways in a slanted cross arrangement & the latter's 2 airports run parallel.

The result is that you notice there is a fair amount of real estate at Burbank, to accommodate the 'cross' layoit.

I have just started to look around Burbank, here are a few shots.

  5. Nice set & interesting perspectives.

I don't know Liverpool at all.

3rd shot down, just left of center, there are 2 buildings that look like celery sticks sliced horizontally.

    What are they?

    Train station?

Hi just go to the Milviz site and log in go to your orders and you will find that the PC6 and the beaver have been updated for P3Dv5

    Nice set of shots.

To get my PC6 into P3D v5.2HF1 I had to be registered on the PC6 Support Forum & then in that forum you will see a post with a d/load for a P3D v5.2HF1 compliant PC6.

Also, if you have the Beaver & want it in P3D v5 then you need to register in the Beaver Support Forum, same deal for the Otter. (They might have changed that now if you can do it though Orders. I couldn't 2 days ago)

Be aware that the PC6 is VRAM hungry & even with True Light? & the other add on turned off, I can't get it going yet with 6GB of VRAM.

CTD when Scenario opens at Departure airport.

  7. From the Aircraft.cfg file for this Jahn/Visser team's C-47, being flown out of Orbx Kiruna in a dawn snow storm, then in better conditions in Autumn.

"C-47A PH-PBA as operated by the Dutch Civil Aviation Authority (RLD) with a complete red nose section.

The PB in the registration stands for Prince Bernard of The Netherlands, who regularly flew this aircraft when it was used for the Governmental flights in the years preceding the Dutch Civil Aviation Authority (RLD) ownership."

  8. A few shots from an initial  look at the very modestly priced Fall City for MSFS.

Different times of day & different weather settings.

Very nicely done, with plenty of clutter tucked away, & exemplary rust.:)
