Make sure you map throttle, prop and mixture, not throttle1, prop1 and mixture1. The former will address all engines in unison, the latter are for a speciifc engine.

Thanks Mark, that's where the problem was, thanks for your help. Sorry for the late reply, I have been ill.

    Hi Don,

If you have one throttle then you need to assign throttle to "Throttle axis".  Like this:

If you had two throttles then you can assign them to "Engine 1 throttle axis" and "Engine 2 throttle axis".  Like this:

    Cheers,

    Hi Don

I cant suggest a particular solution to you problem - but it might be a problem of mixing controls - and not sure what you mean

with Thrustmaster stick  - and which variety  -- and the 2 "Sticks" that I have used in the past have a throttle attached or part thereof.

I have just replaced my set up with Honeycomb controls and have a full set of "Saitek Yoke and 2 throttle sets" - matched together -

and are now sitting in my cupboard taking up space

You are welcome to these for zilch  - knowing that you are only 3 years younger than me  - and probably as broke

All it would take to solve the problem - is for you to make  a trip down the M1 to God's Country and have a visit and a chat -and maybe

compare a few notes on how good we were with our PPLs-and controlled crashes

Hi John, Thanks for the offer, wish I had seen it sooner, I purchased the Honeycomb throttle set up, got fully frustrated with how things were going. Haven't had a chance to do anything as yet, just had a week in the hands of the medics. Your offer to visit would be very nice, however have to put it on hold for the moment until I sort out my health problems.

  4. Hi Scott, just got my rig back from the repair shop, so hence the delay in replying.

I managed to reassign my throttle/mix/prop so they all now work correctly as in full travel etc, only thing  now that I can't get sorted, is, before they all worked together whether I'm flying a single engine or twin, now in a twin on the aircraft the they only work on one engine. Once again, never had this problem before. Can you help with this please.

  5. Hi guys,

Had this problem for quite some time and not been able to fix it - need expert advice. After installing MSFS my controls - Thrustmaster stick/ Saitek throttle module, the Saitek module has taken on a new role of it's own accord. The Thrustmaster stick works fine, the Saitek is hopeless, move the throttle and the aircraft rolls and goes into a dive. Checked everything I know and can't find the problem, contacted  LM, they told me to logon, when tried to do that, I was told I didn't have an account. Emailed them with my account details including a confirmation from them with my account details, they said they can't find any record. Beats me as I've had no trouble logging in, in the past updating my LM software, anyway to cut a long story short, they are NO help, so any assistance anyone can give me I'd appreciate it. By the way, the controls work fine in  MSFS, I'm assuming that there has been some conflict between P3D and MSFS when I installed MSFS. Thanks

Use the default P-38 in P3DV4 it is the Milviz P-38. It has been adjusted for v4. Use the liveries created for the Milviz P-38. Search Avsim and sim outhouse for the liveries.

Thanks Greg, I tried to download/install their freeware one, didn't work. Thought if I didn't have to pay - bargain:D I'll give the P3Dv4 default a go. Thanks again

  7. Thanks Pete, it's times like this that you find out how many true friends you have here, and I have a LOT, and when things go wrong, it warms my heart to have all this support. I often feel bad that I don't get to post on the forum as much as I would like to, but unfortunately that also is a health issue. I would hate to think that any  of friends here think I have abandoned them due to my absence, that would never happen, it's just life taking it's toll.

In fact it flies very well and is one of my warbirds - in V4 and 5 - I use it to do the similar Low level flights

in the valleys of The Lake District and the Blue Mountains as the popular one (?) in North Wales

Nice pics John, looks like I'd better make room in the hanger for a new bird

  9. Has any Orbx member have the P38 installed in P3Dv4 and working okay? I found it only listed for v3 but on their forum they say it's in v4. Interested if anyone has it installed and working okay. I saw posts that some of the lights don't work, I'm mainly interested in that it fly's okay in v4. Any comments appreciated.

    Thanks
