  1. Hello,
    these may be red herrings.
Orbx Central does not use the add-ons.cfg file in the appdata folder,
it uses the one at "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg"

At the best of times, it is hard to see if Trees HD is working and it may just be a

report from the Lorby app, rather than an indication that it doesn't work.
I have installed the Lorby app and the Trees HD add-on.xml file is not reported as faulty.
I attach a copy of it for you to replace yours with.

    add-on.xml

For the record, I don't use discord because I have tried it, and just don't like it. That is of course just my opinion. I do regularly check the forum and fire up Orbx Central when I have need to.

     Hello,
first, I absolutely respect your opinion and your choice.

Discord is whatever you want it to be.

You don't have to take part in, or even read the chatter, if you don't want to.
Just like a forum, it is a very useful source of information, but more in real time,
    like a chat.
It is quite easy to visit the Orbx channel and read all of Sante's announcements
without the need to read anything else, if you don't want to.
    They are here: https://discord.com/channels/830991978337927189/831741424654876692

Personally, I find it to be a very useful tool, during the lockdown, I was able to keep in touch
with friends, using its audio and video calling function, just like Zoom and so on, but free of charge.
I fly online with a friend and we have used it as an audio channel for years.

Personal messaging is another useful function and is entirely confidential.

But other factors have changed the Forum.  For one, we're getting older, and some have dropped out accordingly.  I miss John York, among others.  Also MSFS has been divisive.  Those of us, a minority I know, who have not jumped onto the MSFS bandwagon, and who stick to P3D and X-Plane have been abandoned by Orbx, and from a product/company viewpoint have little incentive to participate in the Forum.  I'm here, and loyal because of the good friends I have here, but I'm sure it hasn't helped.

     Hello Ken and everyone,
this small corner of the forum was never meant to be simulator specific, or even necessarily about simulated flying at all.
Sadly, a few of our treasured forum friends have died but I think that there are plenty of us left. :)
People might not post, but they are still reading.

I can't speak for Orbx, but I do remember reading that PMDG stated they sold more copies of their DC6 for MSFS in the first
week or so than they had sold for all the other flight simulators in several years.
I am no businessman, but there seems to be a certain inescapable logic that would suggest that developing for MSFS would
    be a very good idea.

All the Orbx products for all the other simulators are still here and still supported, so I don't see anyone as having been abandoned.
After all, you don't need to go back far to read for virtually every release for every simulator, a comment from someone that
Orbx was abandoning the users of the simulator that was not compatible with that latest release.

  4. Hello,

as John says, it is most likely the default "Hand crafted" airport.
Here is what it says on the Orbx Direct product page, I have highlighted

    the most relevant part:

If it's not that, here are some troubleshooting steps for you to try.

  5. Hello,
I have had a word with my contact at Axonos.
He asks me to clarify to you  that this is in fact an update of their X Plane 11 YBCG to X Plane 12
so that X Plane 12 users can enjoy it.
It is not an update to the product itself and that they plan to update the content in due course.

Apologies for the misunderstanding and we hope that this makes the situation clear.
