May I suggest it is removed from the store..

This was the answer to the same question when asked before,

    Hello,

in an ideal world, this product would no longer be on Orbx Direct, however it has to remain there for those who bought it before it was withdrawn from sale.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

  2. Similar issues have happened before with other airports where a new runway has been added since the simulators initial release, I believe Asobo need to provide an update to the core database, there is a workaround that has helped with airports in the past, however I think you have to be using Navigraph’s navdata.

If you do use navigraph, follow the instructions laid out in the thread I’ve inserted.

I guess what I'm hoping for is that we'll one day see developers in general realize how adding the option to remove static aircraft is a given for any airport they develop.

Developers are fully aware that static aircraft are like marmite. They're not blind to the issue,

The issue was when many of the original airports were created for MSFS, there wasn't an option with the SDK to toggle statics like there was in FSX/P3D. It was either statics or no statics, and as MSFS was new, there was no AI traffic programs, and with not everyone wanting to use VATSIM/IVAO, statics were the perfect choice to bring life to MSFS airports initially.

Fast forward 2 years and there's now an ability in the SDK to toggle statics, so it is a given now that new airports will release with toggle-able statics - I can't think of any airport released in the last 6 months with un-configureable statics, so the "problem" airports now (the one's I listed above) are ones that were developed pre-SDK change. It's now up to developers to go back and update these products, when/if they do is another matter, after all it goes back to developers are trying to make money, what's a better use of time, developing a new airport or updating an old one to satisfy a part of the userbase.

For reference, I am not for or against statics, just trying to provide context around why older airports are statics on only.

I agree it should be raised/discussed but discussing here will only benefit Orbx airports, partner airports need to be spoken about in channels where the developer will see the feedback. Feeding back about GAYA products on this forum is a bit like asking Mercedes to change a feature on their cars through your local car dealership ;)

Of course I can reach out to them but I think it would be more effective if Orbx had this discussion with the developers they publish.

After all, I bought this product from Orbx and not GAYA.

I get this, but imo it's not Orbx's place, end of the day it's the developers choice if they include statics or not, so a developer is more likely to listen to direct feedback from customers, rather than from their distributor. A lot of developers selling through Orbx probably don't visit these forums to see feedback, and as Ed said a couple posts up, issues with partner airports need to be directed to the developer.

GAYA seems very disinterested with their products now but with any developer going directly to them rather than a 3rd party is always going to be more effective.

    Just trying to help.

  5. I agree it'll be nice for P3D users to get an update not just from Orbx but all major devs. I guess no news is good news?

I think the Navigraph survey will be a good indicator this year for devs. It's been a big year for MSFS in terms of high fidelity aircraft landing on the platform - which was a big blockage for a sub-set of P3D users migrating over. Yes they'll be people who will never leave P3D (some never left FSX) but the survey should provide a decent snapshot of the market left for P3D.

2022 roadmap says 2022 now qtr 4 and no news no updates nothing.

The topic is called "What we are working on - 2022". It doesn't mean YMML or any product in that topic was defiantly going to be released.

Also there is no other reason why other devs can't have a crack, the other dev excuse is pointless, if another dev wanted to do and release YMML they would.

  7. Hi Wayne,

I use FS2Crew and GSX just fine

I believe a PMDG 737 version is coming, the big stumbling block is/was waiting for PMDG's SDK, which is now released, and now FS2Crew can develop it, as for helping with your engine starts, I can't really provide help without knowing how your overhead is setup and your starting procedure.

Both FS2Crew and GSX both interact with scenery I've found, I have all settings for this turned off, because they conflict with each other, so I connect jetways, open/close doors manually.
