Jon Clarke
Not sure if this is the right forum so forgive me if not and redirect accordingly. I am thinking of buying the subject title but I have some very good 5 metre mesh and want to know if it will cause elevation problems with FTX England if I want to use it. Also would UK 2000 airports/airfields work with FTX England? Thanks
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, FTX England includes its own 5-m mesh files, presumably from the same or similar source, so the two file sets should match closely. As for UK2000 compatibility please see http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/62411-uk-compatibility-index/or search for specific airport names/ICAOs in our compatibility subforum. Gartro
I have 15 of the UK2000 Xtreme airports operating with FTX England, Scotland and the Irelands (I don't have FTX Global etc). I have not experienced any problems (compatibility or otherwise) with them operating together. Gary
Jon Clarke
Thanks for your response. Holger, the reason i asked is that on the product page it clearly says: 10 metre Holgermesh and not 5 metre as you indicate in your reply to me.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, well spotted, that's a typo then. Both FTX England and Wales include 5-m terrain mesh files (compiled at LOD13 = 4.75m) while Scotland includes a 10-m (LOD12) mesh file set.
