Rob Ainscough
Just thought I'd share: >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYAO78eqMQw Cheers, Rob. EDIT: it's what you "don't see" in this video that is good.
ve2dgz
Indeed Rob. Tks. Looks like 2.5 will be much improved in a number of ways (already demonstrated by your videos). Evening Sir
FSRobert
Thanks for the time Rob and looks very good indeed. Anything new concerning the recorder funtion in P3DV2,5...just hoping I guess.
Rob Ainscough
Hi Robert, I brought up the issues with built in Recorder Function a long time ago (v2.1 I think) ... some work was done on it but it still seems "broken" to me (which I did point out with videos to LM crew). There is no mention of recorder work being done, but I'll test just in case ... but my hunch is it's low on the priority list ... same with Instant replay (which I'm guessing uses the same code), seems to have issues. Cheers, Rob.
Perk
Very nice Rob. Any word on the folder structure changes and whether legacy FSX add-ons (like Ultimate Traffic 2 etc) are going to be broken?
Rob Ainscough
For UT2 you'll just need to go to a different location to add SimObjects reference to a different C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\SimObjects.cfg file rather than in the Prepar3d.cfg. SimObjects.cfg [Entry.0] Path=SimObjects\Airplanes [Entry.1] Path=SimObjects\Rotorcraft [Entry.2] Path=SimObjects\GroundVehicles [Entry.3] Path=SimObjects\Boats [Entry.4] Path=SimObjects\Animals [Entry.5] Path=SimObjects\Misc [Entry.6] Path=SimObjects\Submersible [Entry.7] Path=SimObjects\Weapons [Entry.8] Path=SimObjects\Countermeasures [Entry.9] Path=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft DLL.XML and EXE.XML remain as is ... so you'll need to have the UT2 reference in the EXE.XML (same as before). Cheers, Rob.
FSRobert
Rob, thanks for the comeback. Understand not being priority one and I am sure in time it will. Once again thanks for giving us videos of the updates, I look forward to them.
