davidgate
I have an unhandled exception error when I try to load FTX Central in FSX. Yesterday I installed EUENG and it worked OK. When I installed the latest Orbxlibs FTX Central ceased to work. I have reviewed other posts including deleting LastAppliedConfig.ftx to no avail. Any other suggestions? Ed Correia
Hi Dave, I've asked for some help from our coder as that message is a new one. It's referring to a duplicate file of some description. Have you selected "Continue" on the message box and if so, did you receive any other messages?
davidgate
Thanks for the response - yes I have tried but if "Continue" is selected, nothing happens. If you then try to close it the error message comes up again but then you can't Quit. The only way to close it then is via Task Master. Ed Correia
Sorry Dave still waiting to hear on further info. In the meantime can you cut and paste the europe.rgn file out of the FTXCentral/Regions folder (just paste it onto your desktop for now) for me. See if FTX Central fires up after that. davidgate
Ed, No change - to clarify, I have removed it from that folder and pasted it on my desktop. Perhaps the only practical option is to do a complete reinstall of FSX and FTX? Dave G
Ed Correia
Hi Dave, I wouldn't be doing a full re-install. The only time I have seen a similar message was to do with the control panel files. Could you post a screenshot of the ORBX/Scripts folder please?

Ed Correia
Thanks Dave, that looks OK to me. Considering this all started with the latest Libs, there are 2 new files that are installed into the Regions folder. They are the 2 terrain_EU files. Could you do the same please as you did before & copy and paste them out. Sorry to give you the run around, but I am stumped as to why you are receiving errors. Ed Correia
Sorry Dave but I am at loss as to why this happening. Last resort is to maybe reinstall England and see if that does anything. Do you have the latest version downloaded from FSS? I will ask again help from others on this.
JoeAir
Hello, maybe it help to find the reason: after a fresh FSX install and after Global Ultimate i installed FTX openLC South. The lib wasn't installed yet. Then the error shows up and central shows "loading" Greatings Joachim
davidgate
Ed, I have tried most things: Reinstalled both Orbxlibs and EUENG Re-downloaded Orbxlibs and EU ENG and reinstalled. And various other things - thanks for trying. I will probably do a completed FSX, FTX re-install when I get time. Dave G
Ed Correia
Dave, we have an idea of the file that is causing the issue. I'll be in touch privately as to how to proceed.
Ken Keen
I have the same problem. I had FTX Central 1.0 installed (September 2012) I installed the 1.10 upgrade and got the same 'no key' problem. I tried rebooting to make sure any registry updates were applied and it did nothing. Applying the 1.2 patch didn't help either. The error log I am seeing is pasted below. Ken Keen
As soon as I posted things changed. I applied the EU Eng patch 01 and FTX Central started 'working' but it now comes up with the following: Custom Files Validation Report Custom file does not exist. G:\FSX\ORBX\Scripts\Custom.gb_hybrid\lclookup.bgl But at least FSX works again
Ken Keen
FYI I started all this because the EGTH scenery has holes in the mesh with the texture wrapped over them. This still hasnt improved. Also since EGTH installed there are now 2 old wardens appearing in the list, EGTH and EG2J. If I choose EG2J the mesh is totally screwed.

JoeAir
Hello some news: A backup of an older FSX installation with Global, and there is a working Central with "FTXCentralSettings.xml" with content: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><FTX_Settings> <FSXRegistryKey>SOFTWARE\Microsoft\microsoft games\flight simulator\10.0</FSXRegistryKey> <FSXRegistryValue>SetupPath</FSXRegistryValue> <SceneryCFGLocation>Microsoft\FSX</SceneryCFGLocation></FTX_Settings> the new Installation of Global shows a "FTXSettings.xml" with content: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><FTX_Settings> <FSXRegistryKey>HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\microsoft games\flight simulator\10.0</FSXRegistryKey> <FSXRegistryValue>SetupPath</FSXRegistryValue> <SceneryCFGLocation>Microsoft\FSX</SceneryCFGLocation></FTX_Settings> Windows is allways on c:\ and FSX allways on F:\ when i change HKLM to HKCU then the message (JIT Debugger) don't come but Central is still not running... Maybe it helps a bit, Greatings Joachim
davidgate
Hi all, my problem has been resolved - the FSX\ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Work\DummySeasonsLog.csv file was corrupted. By deleting this file, and running FTXCentral a new file was created and all is now running normally. Thanks to Ed for his persistence.
