Stillwater
Hmmm, anyone else having this issue, too? Southern bank of the harbour:
John Dow
Is that an FSX ship or ferry? If so it's recommended that you turn ships and ferries to 0% in FSX as they cannot be re-programmed to fit in with more accurate scenery.

What you say sounds logical, FSX might still think a default ferry would be needed there.
Larry_R
For what it's worth, here's a slight variation on the above: my guess is that the WSF ferry model is following a default AI route specified by the trafficboats.bgl file which governs AI ship traffic. If one knows the route number (there are about 1700 of them) you can check to see what percentage has been assigned to the route such that it will show up. Then you set your ship and ferry slider to less than that value and the boat will not appear. If you give me a little more info of where the interference is, I can give you that percentage. Another option is to disable all instances where that ferry is used. It's rather ugly anyway. To do this, find the sim.cfg for the boat in the SimObjects\boats\[name of boat] folder and change the name to sim.cfg.off or something like that. Hope this helps,
Larry_R
Sorry, going out, no time to explain how this all works at the moment, but here's the info on the AI route(s): AC#12,B51008,47%,WEEK,2/21:28:42,3/14:50:43,2365,reverse,ferry,6/09:28:43,0/02:50:44,2365,normal,ferry AC#14,B57400,33%,WEEK,0/02:21:43,0/17:56:47,2690,normal,ferry,3/14:21:43,4/05:56:47,2690,reverse,ferry AC#12,20,"ferry1" AC#14,20,"wash_ferry_sm" So you are seeing one or the other of these routes; one with the percentage at 47% and one at 33%. I can explain what all this means if needed in a bit. Larry
