Syonco
Hi When changing my regions using FTX Central the following error occurs (every time) right after i click "Apply". After re-starting the program the region i selected before the crash has been applied, the green check mark appears next to it. Not sure if it actually works as it should though given the error message : See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\p3d\ORBX\Scripts\Backup\restore.bat' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding) at System.IO.File.WriteAllText(String path, String contents, Encoding encoding) at FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.CopyBuildRestoreBat() at FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.ApplyRegionChanges() at FTXCentral.FTXC.Apply() at FTXCentral.FTXC.lblApplyButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Label.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5472 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- FTXCentral Assembly Version: 1.0.4.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.4.0 ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 8.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 8.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5468 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- qeqwuxdk Assembly Version: 1.0.4.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1 ---------------------------------------- pahoguar Assembly Version: 1.0.4.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Howellerman
Done a ton of searching, unable to find anyone who's experiencing the same issue(s) as me. Any ideas as to what this could be? I have the same problem. Furthermore, when I switch from Global to North America and take my usual spot at KTTD, Ramp 6 Medium, I can immediately tell I am NOT looking at Orbx PNW. I am not really sure what I am looking at, but it is definitely not PNW. It does not even look like Hybrid - it looks like default P3DV1.4. I have to cycle the FTX Central program at least twice for the change to happen (without the Unhandled Exception error) before PNW "takes". It is workable, but aggravating. Morten
Same problem here! I also noticed that the FTX Central loads exactly the same areas - in fact ALL the 90 areas existing - into the cfg, regardless if it set to North America, Oceania or Europe EU. Only when FTX Central is set to Global, it will load 33 areas into the cfg. I see a lot of threads with the same FTX error without any solution to this important issue. Will the developer perhaps come up with a solution, please?
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, for those of you that get the error each time you switch regions have a look at the two suggestions here: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/18785-ftx-central-errors/?p=163444 . Checking read/write permissions and/or running FTX Central as admin should fix it. For those that have the issue intermittently we'd need more information on when it happens. The next time you get that error message don't close the window but rather switch to Windows Explorer and check whether the restore.bat file actually exists in \ORBX\Scripts\Backup\ and, if it does, whether its Read-only attribute is set or not (right-click on file > Properties > "General" tab > Attributes > "Read-only" checkbox). Please let us know what you find. Cheers, Holger P.S.: Morten, the behavior you describe of FTX Central has been like that since day one and is intentional; the changes made by FTX Central are primarily regarding autogen textures and control files and not about the scenery library. Morten
Ok, thanks Holger for that 'PS' information. At least nothing to worry about there! It's very easy for me to provoke an exception error - It will turn up every time I switch back to FTX Global from either Oceania, Europe or North America. The problem started around the time I installed the latest Library patch 140518. There is NO restore.bat present here. However, after the error, reopening the FTX Central and applying FTX Global again the restore.bat will now turn up in the directory! Seems as I have to do the procedure twice in order to make things work..? The read only check box is blanc. There is no security restrictions at all to the file. I am already running the FTX Central as administrator. ************** Undtagelsestekst **************System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Adgang til stien 'B:\FSX\ORBX\Scripts\Backup\restore.bat' blev nægtet. ved System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) ved System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) ved System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) ved System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options) ved System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding, Int32 bufferSize) ved System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding) ved System.IO.File.WriteAllText(String path, String contents, Encoding encoding) ved FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.CopyBuildRestoreBat() ved FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.ApplyRegionChanges() ved FTXCentral.FTXC.Apply() ved FTXCentral.FTXC.lblApplyButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) ved System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) ved System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) ved System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) ved System.Windows.Forms.Label.WndProc(Message& m) ved System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) ved System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)************** Indlæste assemblies **************mscorlib Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5477 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------FTXCentral Assemblyversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 1.0.4.0----------------------------------------Microsoft.VisualBasic Assemblyversion: 8.0.0.0 Win32-version: 8.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5468 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Drawing Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Runtime.Remoting Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Configuration Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Xml Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------shxfqdw9 Assemblyversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Core Assemblyversion: 3.5.0.0 Win32-version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1----------------------------------------zecsd9j3 Assemblyversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------mscorlib.resources Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5477 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms.resources Assemblyversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------
