Mike62
In the preview thread about the Volcanoes & the Klamath Lake Algae: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/73350-ftx-nca-volcanic-activities-photoreal-areas/?hl=%2Bklamath+%2Blake It says that it blooms in the Summer. I was wondering if this is a seasonal texture included with NCA, or if it is visible year round. I had the Blue/Green textures both in the winter (Jan/Feb) and Summer (August). I love the included textures I just wanted to make sure that I was not missing something. Thanks, Mike Cameron
spud
Actually Mike the greenish color is cause more by the extremly shallow depth of the lake than alge bloom. Maxumum depth is only 49' so it is more a huge pond than a lake. Of course alge bloom will occur in warm weather which would probably increase the green tint somewhat but the color stay greenish year round. On the east side of the lake north of the town is an area known as the mud flats which NCAL depicts quite nicely and are due to the shallow lake depth. Holger Sandmann
Hi Mike, as Spud alluded to our photoreal rendition of Klamath Lake doesn't change with the seasons other than showing snow on the adjacent shorelines in mid-winter months. Cheers, Holger
