Scenery priority FTX Global

I have installed all parts of UTX. So what do you think - what is the best position for the three ORBX FTXG entries in this case?

I don't know why, but I cannot post an image (JPG and GIF didn't work), so I have inserted a link to a screenshot of my scenery library.

After a fresh FSX Installation I only installed one UTX product after the other. So here is the result. ;D

Based on Rob's post here I would set the three FTXG entries on position 129-131 directly above the XClass entries.

What do you think?

OK, I think I have found a way considering the XClass/UTX-LC difficulty and Rob's remarks.

So, here is a part of my scenery.cfg (priority from high to low):

All ThirdParty Sceneries

All UTX-entries (exept LC)
FTXAA_ORBXLIBS
ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1
ORBX!OPENLC_BASE
UT Landclass Custom
UT Landclass Urban
XClass World
UT Landclass Vegetation

This is my layering scheme.  Can someone comment on this?  What needs to be changed, if anything?

Also, are the FS Global entries redundant with respect to FTX?

Thanks

Hi fella's :)

Rob Newman made an excellent post explaining the order issue please have a look here and scroll down to post #63 http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/61929-ftx-global-what-is-it-all-about/page-4

That is an epic post right there. Rob's post finally answers my confusion that I had for a while.  I am sure I will be referencing that post in the very near future.  I have to figure out my on how my meshes, other sceneries are laid out with orbx.

Thank You

Your FTX Global entries (ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1 and ORBX!OPENLC_BASE) should be below  your FTX EU ENG content.

FTX Regions go above FTX Global, as per Rob Newman's list.

So essentially, in terms of your FTX products it's

(Top)

FTX Airports

FTX Regions

FTX Global

UTX (if you use it)

Other scenery

Default FSX scenery

(bottom)

Thank you for clarifying that.  I never realized that regions and airports came above FTX Global.  I just did an install with FTX Global last and it placed everything below it.  But this clears it up.  I will follow your suggestions.

Someone needs to stick this thread or write up some very detailed tutorial regarding this (I could do it, but you all will have to point me to all the threads to understand the layers in depth...I understood 80% of it so far).
