Blackrat
I'm just loving Alaska on P3D, thanks and keep 'em coming. I am, however, surprised at the amount of 'boxy' looking traffic over Skagway. Is this something I can fix by messing about with the scenery library or will it need an update? [i'm on Win7-64 with P3D].
GlennH
Im getting this floating autogen bug here as well. I know its an FSX thing and ususally refreshing the scenery fixes it, but it doesnt work in this case.
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, if this is happening when approaching Skagway (i.e., not loading a flight at PAGY) then see my explanation here: http://www.orbxsyste...ak/#entry509164 Cheers, Holger
GlennH
Hi Holger, Yes it appears to happen when approaching but even several scenery "refreshes" didn't fix it. It normally does so I was a little confused.
Blackrat
Thanks Holger, that did it for me perfectly. I changed LOD_RADIUS to 8.5 and took a flight from Haines to Skagway - No floaters. Excellent.
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, Glenn, if the quick scenery refresh doesn't work then there's a "stronger" measure available and that is selecting World > Scenery Library from within FSX and then just clicking on the OK button without making any changes. It'll force FSX to re-index the entire scenery library, which should get rid of any "confusion" regarding mesh level/priority. Blackrat, thanks for confirming that a higher LOD_RADIUS helps, that's good to know. Cheers, Holger
GlennH
Thanks for the tip. Will give the stronger measure a try later.
