seaking
Have just had to replace OS hard drive and reload Win7 but lost all FSX and ORBX files. Is there any order I should use to get all back up and running? seaking
Downloaded instructions for installing all orbx regions. I then loaded SP3 DVD and it found my FSX directory and loaded, but when I pressed the "Run FTX Central" it tries to open interface but part way through it shows the error message:--- Micosoft.Net Framework Unhandled exception has occurred in your application etc Could not find a part of the path "Microsoft Games\Scenery\world\Texture\Tile Pattern 12.bmp" The only way to then exit this error is to "Control/Alt/Delete" Am at a loss!!! seaking
Things are getting worse!! Just come back of Holiday and tried to carry on with installation but it went ***. I then did a complete uninstall as per 02 March 2011 instructions and tried again to install as per 10 April 2011 instructions. All worked apart from the error message as before viz: Microsoft.Net Framework Unhandled exception has occurred in your application etc Could not find a part of the path "Microsoft Games\Scenery\world\Texture\Tile Pattern 12.bmp" The only way to then exit this error is to "Control/Alt/Delete" I carried on until I got another problem in that after installing NZSI (para D) The Australia icon vanished from FTX central and I also had two FTX Central icons on the desktop both showing the same. Larry W
Microsoft Games\Scenery\world\Texture\Tile Pattern 12.bmp I would have expected the path to say "Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Texture\TilePattern12.bmp". What is the path of your FSX installation? Do you have any other 3rd party scenery installed? I wonder if it could be a hard-coded path in a file. It has "world" instead of "World" and "Tile Pattern 12.bmp" instead of "TilePattern12.bmp" (which is the actual file). That just looks suspicious to me.
